Cesti Competition (participation contingent on EU travel restrictions)

Hannah has been selected to participate in the 2020 Cesti Competition at the Innsbrucker festwochen der alten musik. Her ability to compete is contingent on EU travel restrictions in place at the time of the competition.

The International Singing Competition for Baroque Opera Pietro Antonio Cesti is named after the Italian composer, who turned Innsbruck into a centre for the Italian opera north of the Alps in the mid-17th century. The competition was founded by Alessandro De Marchi in 2010. Meanwhile it became one of the most important singing competitions for Baroque opera worldwide.

Prizes include engagments at major opera houses, as well as prize money for the winners.
