Il Furioso with the Newberry Consort and Incantare

Hannah joins the Newberry Consort for its 2023-2024 season closer for Il Furioso, featuring Renaissance music influenced by the life and art of Venetian painter Jacopo Tintoretto, presented in collaboration with Incantare. This visually and aurally sumptuous program explores music by Italian composers from the Venetian School, juxtaposing musical works by Andrea Gabrieli, Gioseffo Zarlino, Nicola Vicentino, Leonora Orsina, Madalena Casulana, Diego Ortiz, and Giovanni Priuli against visual art by Tintoretto and other Venetian artists such as Titian, Veronese, Bellini, and Bassano. Handel's Messiah with Bella Voce & Sinfonia

Hannah joins Bella Voce and the Bella Voce Sinfonia unite for a special one-evening-only presentation of Handel’s Messiah in November. Conducted by artistic director Andrew Lewis, chamber chorus and soloists from within the ensemble join with the Bella Voce Sinfonia, a chamber orchestra of 20 period-instrument musicians, for an unabridged performance of this beloved masterpiece.

The concert will last approximately 3 hours, including a 20-minute intermission.

Bach and Before at Michigan State University

Hannah joins Ars Musica Chicago for a performance on the Taylor Johnston Early Music Series at Michigan State University in Lansing. In this performance, they focus on J. S. Bach who lived during one of the most dynamic and innovative periods in Western musical history. Repertoire will include pieces by Bach and some of the influential forebears and illustrious contemporaries whose works he heard, studied, and deeply admired.

Hannah makes her Haymarket Opera debut as Sirena and ensemble in Francesca Caccini’s only surviving opera, La liberazione di Ruggiero dall’isola d’Alcina in a spellbinding period production featuring a cast of virtuosi, a colorful orchestra of period instruments, and sets and costumes to conjure up an evil sorceress’s enchanted island.

Performances: September 29-30 at 7:30pm and October 1 at 3pm
